Two quick calculators to get you started
Useful reference points, nothing more. Numbers like these open a conversation — they do not close one.
General guidance, not medical advice. These calculators give general guidance for healthy adults. They are not a medical assessment and do not account for pregnancy, muscle mass, kidney or heart conditions, medication or age extremes. Always speak to a qualified professional before making changes.
BMI calculator
A population-level screening number — useful as a starting point, not a diagnosis.
What the BMI categories mean
- UnderweightBelow 18.5
- Healthy range18.5 – 24.9
- Overweight25.0 – 29.9
- Obese30.0 and above
Daily water intake
Based on 33 ml per kg of body weight, adjusted for how much you move and how hot it is.
Why these numbers only go so far
BMI was designed to describe populations, not individuals. It cannot tell muscle from fat, which is why a lean athlete and someone carrying visceral fat can share the same number while facing completely different risks.
Water needs shift with medication, pregnancy, kidney and heart function, fever, altitude and how much you sweat. A single formula cannot see any of that.
In a consultation we look at your measurements, your reports and what your week actually looks like — a far more useful picture than either number here. Questions are welcome by Instagram DM (@nutritionwith_ayesha) or email at ayeshaghulamrasool97@gmail.com.
Numbers are a starting point — a plan is the next step
Bring your results to a consultation and we will work out what they actually mean for you.
